HUNT YOUNG
2021 QB MANSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
STATEMENT FROM COACH RYAN:
My name is Ryan Roberts and I currently train 2021 QB HUNT YOUNG from Mansfield High School and he is my #1 2021 QB within our RRQB Training program. I’ve trained Alan Bowman (Texas Tech) and Ken Seals (Vanderbilt) since they were both in like 6th grade and I still train them, and I can tell you that Hunt Young is right there alongside those young men talent wise and possesses great speed, quickness, and elusiveness. Hunt is unquestionably a Top D1 caliber QB. For whatever reason he has gone completely under the radar in terms of recruiting largely in part to the system he’s been in, the lack of camp exposure due to everything going on with Covid etc., and the passing away of his head football coach, Coach Mayberry this past year. I’ve trained and mentored this kid since he was in 7th grade and I can honestly say he is one of the finest young men I’ve ever been blessed to be around. He’s a natural born leader, Ivy League smart, has a cannon of an arm, an extremely physical frame, an amazing quick release, and the athleticism to be a playmaker outside of the pocket. All this kid needs is a chance. Hunt is 6’3” 200, runs a 4.5, has competed in basically the toughest district in Texas, and still is not even close to reaching his full potential. If groomed the right way, he will play on Sundays someday. Hunt’s Mansfield team won the Primetime 7 on 7 Texas State Championship this past Summer which definitely shows he can spin the ball in addition to his dual threat running ability. All I’m asking you to do is to give this young man a look because I know he would undoubtedly bring something special to your program.
