RRQB Training passionately provides quarterbacks of all levels with the opportunity to gain a competitive EDGE on their competition through elite and individualized instruction.
RRQB Training is passionate about providing young and aspiring quarterbacks with the means necessary to make that great impression on their coaches at practice, to get ready to perform at the highest level possible come game time, and to ultimately achieve their athletic goals and dreams. Through a strong faith in Christ, hard work, dedication, and a relentless attitude, RRQB Training founder Ryan Roberts was able to see his dreams as a quarterback come to pass, and he is now willing to share what he has learned through his high school and collegiate quarterbacking experiences to other quarterbacks who desire to gain a competitive EDGE on their competition.

Coach Ryan realizes that without the knowledge, experience, and training that he received during his own development through various coaches, training sessions, and camps, that he would have never been able to reach his full potential.

There's just something special that happens to a quarterback when he gets in a one on one training environment as compared to a larger group setting. In 10 years of training quarterbacks, our RRQB Training staff has seen first hand just how much private quarterback lessons can impact a young man's development. We have been blessed to train some of the top high school and collegiate passers to ever play the game, and we are confident that the training that takes place in our private lessons is something that is truly irreplaceable. Private QB lessons allow for all training sessions to be customized and catered to each specific quarterback in a way that meets their needs. Whether it be a young QB in kindergarten who is simply needing to learn the proper grip and crucial fundamental mechanics of playing the quarterback position, or a collegiate quarterback preparing to play at the professional level, our private quarterback lessons can meet both of their needs and everyone and everything in between. Not every young man who steps onto a middle school football practice field wanting to play quarterback will actually get that opportunity. If they are not prepared and able to outperform their competition they may never earn that highly sought after spot. At RRQB Training, we realize that hard truth, and we are determined to do whatever it takes to give our QB's the EDGE they need to surpass their competition and ultimately reach their God-given goals and dreams.

PASSING PROGRAM
The RRQB Training PASSING PROGRAM powered by Sports Academy at The Star is an elite QB and WR developmental program exclusively held at the Sports Academy at The Star in Frisco! This training program is aimed at implementing QB and WR specific passing and performance training that has proven to produce some of the Nation's Top QB and WR recruits!
This program will give QB's and WR's consistent opportunities to be trained by certified RRQB Training QB and WR trainers alongside Sports Academy Performance trainers who will be incorporating drills and instruction to give them a powerful 'EDGE'!

Our RRQB Training QB STATE CHAMPIONSHIP is an elite level QB Competition that features the Top RRQB Training QB's in each grade level from across the State of Texas and consists of various competition drills testing the QB's in a variety of different areas which are scored based on a pre-determined point system. The Top Performer in each grade level is named the 'QB State Champion of Texas'! The talent level in these competitions are always remarkable as seen by our former players who are now playing at the D1 and collegiate levels. This competition is not only highly regarded in the recruiting realm, but it builds each QB's confidence going into the season and is a tangible reminder that their hard work and talent is being recognized!

qb recruit combine
The RRQB Training QB RECRUIT COMBINE event is an elite level QB competition structured as a college recruiting camp formatted specifically for quarterbacks who have shown the talent needed to be seen as a highly recruited QB. This event will feature drills and competitions to test and evaluate the quarterback's abilities. At the conclusion of the event, one QB in each division will be awarded with the 5 STAR QB Award!
This competition will intentionally put our quarterbacks in a pressure packed environment scenario that will allow us to see which QB's rise to the top!

Ryan Roberts founded RRQB Training in December 2009 after graduating from Baylor University with a Master's Degree in Education in Sport Pedagogy and Coaching. Ryan experienced success at both the high school and collegiate levels as a starting quarterback. His passing records set at 5A Keller High School still stand today, and his ability to earn a scholarship to Midwestern State University and start as a freshman at QB catapulted him into transferring to Baylor University and earning a full ride scholarship and playing QB for the Baylor Bears.
After graduating from Baylor in 2009 with his Master's Degree and Texas coaching/teaching certification, he decided to pass up opportunities to coach at the high school level in order to privately train young aspiring quarterbacks all across Texas. Over the first year of conducting private quarterback lessons through RRQB Training, he was able to see a vast number of young men develop, improve, and perform with the help of his training methods and techniques, and now RRQB Training has grown into an all encompassing football training organization that has been blessed with the opportunity to train thousands of young men for over a decade.
Ryan's desire to share what he has learned through his high school and collegiate quarterbacking experiences and his unrelenting passion to see young men develop and succeed not only as football players but as young Christian leaders and men, continues to drive RRQB Training to this day.

Landry Jones joined the RRQB Training staff in 2022 and plays a pivotal QB training and recruiting role within the RRQB Training program. As a former NFL QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with being a stellar starting QB at Oklahoma University, Coach Landry holds years of high level and unrivaled coaching experience. Coach Landry's QB training experience has enabled him to develop and mentor young men who are now thriving at the collegiate level. Coach Landry is one of the most crucial underlying pieces of what enables RRQB Training to thrive when it comes to developing the next generation of quarterbacks. Landry currently serves as a QB Trainer and Oversight Director overseeing, structuring, and coaching our RRQB Training Private QB Lessons, Specialized Small Group Sessions, and operation spectrum. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Landry's caliber and expertise, and his influence on our athletes goes far beyond the playing field and deep into their development as strong Christian young men.

Preston Haire joined the RRQB Training staff in 2022 and plays a pivotal private training role within the RRQB Training program. Coach Preston has been a part of the RRQB Training program both as a player and now as a coach for nearly 10 years and is currently a lead trainer in our North Fort Worth area of the DFW Metroplex. Preston's vast experience within the RRQB Training program enabled him to develop into a collegiate and professional passer himself and he is now mentoring young men to follow in his steps. Preston was a standout high school QB at Byron Nelson High School where he broke every single school record and was a 3 year starter. After his stellar senior year, he earned the opportunity to sign to play QB at Oklahoma Baptist University where he was a 4 year starter. After finishing his career at OBU and breaking every school record, Preston was invited to attend the New Orleans Saints Rookie Mini Camp as an NFL free agent. Coach Preston currently serves as a lead Private QB Trainer and Small Group QB Program Trainer, along with overseeing and coaching our RRQB Training Showcase events including our QB Recruit Combine along with our Annual QB State Championship Event. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Preston's caliber, and his influence on our athletes goes far past the playing field and into their development as strong Christian leaders and young men.

Stone Earle joined the RRQB Training staff in 2022 and plays a pivotal training role within the RRQB Training program. Coach Stone has been a part of the RRQB Training program both as a player and now as a coach for nearly 10 years and is currently a lead trainer in our North Forth Worth and Denton Regions. Stone's vast experience within the RRQB Training program enabled him to develop into a collegiate passer himself and he is now mentoring young men to follow in his steps. Stone was a record breaking starting QB at Birdville High School, and his accolades earned him the opportunity to sign to play QB at Abilene Christian University where he started as a freshman and inevitably earned a full-ride to play QB at the University of North Texas. Coach Stone currently serves as a QB Trainer and Small Group QB Program Trainer, along with overseeing and coaching our RRQB Training Showcase events including our QB Recruit Combine along with our Annual QB State Championship Event. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Stone's caliber, and his influence on our athletes goes far past the playing field and into their development as strong Christian leaders and young men.

Trent Guinn joined the RRQB Training staff in 2022 and plays a pivotal private training role within the RRQB Training program. Coach Trent has been a part of the RRQB Training program both as a player and now as a coach for nearly 10 years and is currently a lead trainer in our North Fort Worth area of the DFW Metroplex. Trent's vast experience within the RRQB Training program enabled him to develop into a collegiate passer himself and he is now mentoring young men to follow in his steps. Trent was a standout high school QB at Mineral Wells High School where he not only broke the school record for completion percentage but also led the entire State of Texas in completion percentage. After his stellar senior year, he earned the opportunity to sign to play QB at Cisco Junior college and ultimately finished out his college QB playing career at Tabor College in Kansas leading his team to multiple victories and is currently 2nd in the history of the program for completion percentage. After finishing his career at Tabor College, Coach Trent felt called to train and mentor quarterbacks. Coach Trent currently serves as a lead Private QB Trainer and Small Group QB Program Trainer, along with overseeing and coaching our RRQB Training Showcase events including our QB Recruit Combine along with our Annual QB State Championship Event. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Trent's caliber, and his influence on our athletes goes far past the playing field and into their development as strong Christian leaders and young men.

Craig Ochs joined the RRQB Training staff in 2022 and plays a pivotal QB training and recruiting role within the RRQB Training program. As a former NFL QB for the San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills, along with being a starting QB at the University of Colorado and the University of Montana, Coach Craig holds years of high level and unrivaled coaching experience. Coach Craig's QB training experience has enabled him to develop and mentor young men who are now thriving at the collegiate level. Coach Craig is one of the most crucial underlying pieces of what enables RRQB Training to thrive when it comes to developing the next generation of quarterbacks. Craig currently serves as a QB Trainer and Recruiting Specialist overseeing, structuring, and coaching our RRQB Training Private QB Lessons, Specialized Small Group Sessions, and heads our Recruiting spectrum. Matt Bishop joined RRQB Training in 2019 and has been privately training quarterbacks for 8 years. At Aledo HS, Matt was a record breaking quarterback for the Aledo Bearcats leading them to a 42-2 record and 3 Texas State Championships while being named the MVP in the State Championship Game his senior year in 2012. Matt finished his high school career at Aledo with a total of 85 passing touchdowns and 8,030 passing yards and broke every passing record at Aledo High School. Upon graduation, Matt went on to play QB at Tarleton State University. Since college, Matt's passion to train young and aspiring quarterbacks and athletes has led him to training and mentoring some of the Top Quarterbacks in the State of Texas. His desire is to utilize his God given gifts to mentor and train the next generation of quarterbacks alongside RRQB Training and impact young men both on and off the field.

Kolton Pittman joined the RRQB Training staff in 2012 and has played a pivotal administrative and coaching role within the RRQB Training program. Kolton holds nearly a decade of coaching experience with RRQB Training and has orchestrated camps, 7 on 7 tournaments, and competitions that have produced some of the top QB's, WR's, and DB's to ever play in the State of Texas. Kolton's vast experience within the RRQB Training program has enabled him to develop and mentor young men who are now thriving at the collegiate level. Coach Pittman is one of the most crucial underlying pieces of what enables RRQB Training to thrive when it comes to developing the next generation of quarterbacks. Kolton currently serves as our Thunder 7 on 7 Director overseeing, structuring, and coaching our RRQB Training Thunder 7 on 7 Program. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Kolton's caliber and expertise, and his influence on our athletes goes far beyond the playing field and deep into their development as strong Christian young men.

Keaton Locke joined the RRQB Training staff in 2015 and has played an intricate part in developing some of the top QB's, WR's, and DB's in the RRQB Training program. Keaton's experience at the collegiate level at both Dean College and the University of North Texas along with his vast knowledge of some of the most proficient speed & agility and position specific training techniques has enabled him to propel the speed, quickness, and overall performance levels of our athletes in significant ways. Along with training our athletes with RRQB Training, Coach Locke is also on staff as an assistant coach at Covenant Christian Academy in Colleyville, Texas. RRQB Training is so blessed to have a coach of Keaton's caliber and we are continually seeing the impact that he is having on our young men both on and off the field.

Lance Wheeler joined the RRQB Training staff in 2021 and has played a pivotal administrative and coaching role primarily within our RRQB Training QB State Championship event which is our yearly competition and premier showcase event offered by RRQB Training. This event has produced some of the top high school and college QB's to ever play in the State of Texas over the past 8 years. Coach Wheeler is one of the most crucial underlying pieces of what enables RRQB Training to thrive when it comes to developing the next generation of quarterbacks coming through our program. Lance currently serves as both a RRQB Training Certified QB Trainer along with being our QB Competition Oversight Specialist, overseeing, structuring, and coaching our RRQB Training QB Competitions, QB State Championships, 3 on 3 Tournaments, along with conducting Private QB Training Sessions as well. Knox Scoggins joined the RRQB Training staff in 2023 and plays a pivotal private training role within the RRQB Training program. Coach Knox has been a part of the RRQB Training program both as a player and now as a coach and is currently a lead trainer in our North Fort Worth area of the DFW Metroplex. Knox's vast experience within the RRQB Training program, and former collegiate football experience at Mary Hardin Baylor University, has prepared him to now mentor young men to follow in his steps. Knox was a standout high school player at Argyle High School. After a stellar playing career, he earned the opportunity to sign to play at Mary Hardin Baylor. Coach Knox currently serves as a lead Private QB Trainer and Small Group QB Program Trainer, along with overseeing and coaching our RRQB Training Passing Program at the Star, and our Showcase events including our QB Recruit Combine along with our Annual QB State Championship Event. As an undefeated State Champion wide receiver in high school at Lakes High School, Coach Brandon went on to play wide receiver in college at the University of Montana Western . Coach Brandon is one of the most crucial underlying pieces of what enables RRQB Training to thrive when it comes to developing the next generation of wide receivers.
