The RRQB Training ARGYLE WR PROGRAM is a WR developmental program that is exclusive to Argyle Eagle Wide Receivers! This training program is aimed at implementing the Argyle Eagle offensive system through training implementation replicating the current passing game at Argyle High School. This program will give Argyle Eagle WRs consistent opportunities to be trained by certified RRQB Training WR trainers who will be incorporating drills and instruction to give them an 'EAGLE EDGE' that has proven to lead to State Championship level success!  This will be an amazing developmental tool for the Argyle Eagle young men this off-season!

Head Instructors:

Tate Wallis

Wallis was named the 2015 National Wide Receivers Coach of the Year by FootballScoop for his efforts leading a Baylor University WR corps highlighted by unanimous All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner Corey Coleman (74 receptions, 1,363 yards, 20 TDs). The Bears top-ranked offense also included All-Big 12 receiver KD Cannon and NFL signee Jay Lee (Lions).

Wallis spent three seasons as an assistant director of football operations involved in offensive quality control and two years as a graduate assistant coaching the tight ends and offensive special teams.

The 2008 Tarleton State graduate joined the Baylor University staff following a two-year stint coaching inside receivers at Red Oak (Texas) High School.

The former quarterback played collegiately at SMU under then-head coach Phil Bennett. He was a two-year letterman at SMU (2002-03), and started seven games and threw for 834 yards as a redshirt freshman in 2002. He also spent time at tight end as a redshirt in 2001.

Wallis led Ennis (Texas) High School to the 2000 4A state championship as a senior quarterback, when he threw for more than 3,600 yards and 37 touchdowns and ran for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named to the 2000 4A All-State second team both by The Associated Press and THSCA.

Also a 4A All-State and District 10-4A MVP in baseball at Ennis, Wallis was selected in the 2001 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees.

During the entirety of Mainord’s tenure in Denton, which began in 2016, the UNT offense has proved itself to be one of the top units in Conference USA and the nation. UNT’s offenses ranked in top three in total offense, top two in pass offense, and top three in scoring in Conference USA for four consecutive seasons from 2017-20. Mainord, who spent three seasons at Kentucky from 2013-15, has deep Texas ties having coached at Texas Tech, Lamar, Sam Houston State and Tarleton State.

Mainord began his coaching career at his alma mater, spending six seasons at Tarleton State from 1999-2004 where he played baseball before joining the football program as a student assistant coach.
